Our Kung Fu classes in Sydney are designed for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. We embrased small class, hand by hand training, and personal attention to ensure that each student receives the guidance they need to progress at their own pace. We focus on practical self-defense techniques, traditional forms, and physical conditioning.

We offer an optional ranking / sash system for students who wish to progress in their Kung Fu journey.

Syllabus Core

🟢 Beginner Level (No Sash)

Objective: Learn fundamental movements, coordination, and conditioning.

  • 五輪馬 – Ng Lun Ma (ńgh lèuhn máh)
    English: Five Wheel Horse Stance
    A foot work exercise to develop balance and stability. It involves shifting weight between the legs while maintaining a low stance.
  • 五輪拳 – Ng Lun Kyun (ńgh lèuhn kyùhn)
    English: Five Wheel Fist
    A basic punching technique that emphasizes proper alignment and body mechanics. It involves a series of punches delivered in a circular motion.

🟡 Foundation Level (Yellow Sash)

Objective: Build strong foundational power (Long Bridge Power) and introduce basic combat techniques.

  • 小十字拳 – Siu Sap Ji Kyun (síu sahp jih kyùhn)
    English: Small Cross Fist
  • 小梅花拳 – Siu Miu Fa Kyun (síu mòuh fàa kyùhn)
    English: Small Plum Blossom Fist

🔴 Intermediate Level (Red Sash)

Objective: One-to-one and multiple attacker combat. Improve long power and begin short power.

  • 車斬滾 – Che Jaam Gwan (chē jáam gwán)
    English: Sweeping Rolling Strike
  • 十字扣打 – Sap Ji Kau Da (sahp jih kau dáa)
    English: Cross Trap and Strike
  • 雙頭棍 – Seung Tau Gwan (sēung tàuh gwan )
    English: Double-Headed Staff
  • 單刀 – Daan Dou (dāan dōu)
    English: Single Broadsword

⚫ Advanced Level (Black Sash)

Objective: Refine long and short power. Master multiple-opponent combat.

  • 脫戰拳 – Tyut Jin Kyun (tyut jin kyùhn)
    English: Breakaway Combat Fist
  • 金豹平肘拳 – Gam Paau Ping Jau Kyun (gām paau pìhng jáu kyùhn)
    English: Golden Leopard Level Elbow Fist
  • 佛家掌 – Fat Gaa Jeung (fàht gā jéung)
    English: Buddhist Palm
  • 單頭棍 – Daan Tau Gwan (dāan tàuh gwan)
    English: Single-End Staff
